Home Truth Homewares was born out of my somewhat squashed creativity! While working I'd forgotten to make time to create lovely things and scout amazing pre-loved pieces. I have always loved trawling through op-shops (reinventing the old!) and being hands-on creative.

I have been making soy wax candles as a hobby for a while, using pre-loved bits and pieces as candle containers. Soy wax is eco-friendly (no paraffins here!) and the containers are all sourced from op-shops, so as an enviro-fan, this is all great to me. I can have the comfort of a pretty scented candle while using renewable products and recycled trinkets.

This grew the idea for my Etsy Store and the name 'Home Truth Homewares.' I love that pre-loved items have their own history and story that make them that much more special- they tell a home truth from a past life!

I also dabble in drawing with pencils, pens and markers. A wonderful print shop in Melbourne offers archival bamboo paper (eco!) so I have prints available as well.
